Two Ladies

Jitka Malczyk studied the violin in the Czech Republic, England, France and Ireland and she is constantly looking for inspiration and the authenticity of interpretation on her frequent journeys with the violin all around the world.

At the Prague Spring Festival in 2009, Jitka played the famous melody “The Riders of Rohan”, composed by Howard Shore for the Lord of the Rings symphony, on the Hardanger fiddle from her own collection.

Célestine Doedens grew up right at the source of living traditional music and dances in the village of Pedernec, Brittany.

She has played the celtic harp since the age of 12. She studied music and Breton language in Rennes and Prague and piano tuning in Le Mans.

She takes part in various musical projects and accompanies dancers at Fest Noz traditional Breton events. She also enjoys improvising on poetry as well as on visuals such as contemporary dance, paintings or silent movies.
